About Me

My name is Carmelo… and I like to party.

I was born in California. Lived in the Philippines for a year, then in Montreal for 17 years. My mom is from the Philippines and my father is from Sicily. They parted ways and my mom married Gary Robert Walsh (keywords: abusive, evil step-father, asshole, hits kids, beats kids, harasses everyone around him not directly related to him)

I went to St. Monica’s elementary and met some pretty cool people I still stay in touch with. I used to also play at a park and met some kids from the neighborhood that I still love and stay in touch with. Like Kelvin Mui, Pat Colford, Jonathan Asselin, and Shannon Howell. They’ll probably be my friends forever.

I first went to Loyola, a private high school run by Jesuits Priests, I got so many detentions, I wasn’t allowed back. I then went to Marymount Academy (I think the kids make the website. It sucks balls.) and completed most of high school. I stay in touch with quite a few of them, but more as the occasional, casual ‘hey’. There is just a small handful that actually are genuine friends.

After High School, I joined the US Marine Corps. I did Aviation Ordnance and before my honorable discharge, I was the night shift supervisor. Most of my closest friends have still maintained contact, like John Rivera and Mike O’Neil, whom I got off the bus and stood on the Yellow foot prints with. There are quite a few more, but they aren’t in contact with me as much or not at all.

Here is a video on Aviation Ordnance.

I got married at 22, was honorably discharged, became a Corrections Officer, and became a father. My son, Damien, is an awesome kid.

I was recognized for my ability to work with people and computers. I had played with computers near the end of my enlisted term and really got into the hardware and operating system, just as a hobby. Though I had a 98 inmate work crew, I had time to work with administrative staff and help them with computer and phone related problems. Phone’s weren’t hard to figure out.

I was promoted to Network Specialist and moved to Phoenix as the youngest network specialist in the AZ State departments. After a few years, I hit the ceiling and couldn’t promote until someone died or retired. My marriage started to become rocky as well. I enrolled at DeVry to get some education and at the same time, the wife became an ex-wife and I got another job as a Regional IT Coordinator. I dropped out of school because of the demanding work travel schedule.

I ended up meeting someone and buying a house with her. We were relatively happy but she had some drinking issues (keyword: Christina Lee Frederick, drunk, lush, alcoholic, substance abuse, crazy, psycho hose beast, leech). I moved around a bit doing work for various companies. My son came to live with me full time because his grades weren’t doing so well. I focused on him and he’s doing good now, with challenges here and there.

I was the Technical Project Manager for Bioterrorism and saw a lot of corruption. When I blew the whistle on needless spending of millions of dollars for 2 web servers (keywords: John Nelson, Arizona Department of Health Services, wastes millions of tax payer money), the project halted and I was put in charge of network security. They desperately wanted to save face and unfuck the project and they felt removing me was the best way to do it.

I graduated from the University of Phoenix with my Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology

I visited Hawaii for a small vacation and my girlfriend at the time, decided she would just stay there. (keyword: Christina Lee Frederick, drunk, lush, alcoholic, substance abuse, crazy, psycho hose beast, leech).

I met the coolest people thoughout my career and ended up working as an Senior Information Security Analyst at Scottsdale Insurance Company where I met my best friends. Jaime Lee Woodford, Camille Collett and Rob Greeff. There are many others there that I maintain contact regularly and interact with almost daily or weekly.

I got my motorcycle endorsement after some fun classes.

A friend from UofP told me about a job at her company, I had to leave Scottsdale because one of my best friends turned into my serious girlfriend. So I left there to be the Director of Information Technology. I was in charge of everything IT and Security. A year later, due to the economy, the company had to go through a reduction in force and relocate a lot of resources to New Mexico. I had to be let go.

I started my own company, Arizona Information Technology Management, and I got a position doing information security with a bank.

I proposed to my girlfriend, Jaime, and we are getting married on May 14th, 2011. I wanted to make the cake so I’m going through cake classes which turned into a fun hobby that everybody loves. I maintain a separate blog just about us on this website.

My passion as of the past few years has been technology, wakeboarding, the Marine Corps, and recently, baking and decorating cakes. I tend to write about those topics more than anything.

I like self-documentation and constantly have personal websites and accounts with popular social networks that I interact with. My self documentation deals with major accomplishments, family, friends, pictures and video. Here is my resume.

I hate people who go the extra mile to cause pain and anguish on myself or those I love. Can you tell by my keywords?

Enjoy my blog!
